Tokyo shares end flat by break ahead of U.S. jobs data

Tokyo shares ended the morning session almost flat on Friday as investors maintained cautious ahead of monthly U.S. jobs data due later the day.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average inched up 3.56 points, or 0. 02 percent, from Thursday to 17,725.98.

However, the broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange edged down 0.29 point, or 0.02 percent, to 1,442.45. Endi
