U.S. stocks ended little changed after volatile trading Thursday, as investors digested a mixed bag of economic reports amid International Monetary Fund chief's remarks on global economy.

The Dow edged down nearly 0.1 percent, while both the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq rose 0.2 percent. Endit
