Former official arrested for graft

A former senior official of central China's Hunan Province has been arrested for corruption, local authorities said Thursday.

Ma Yong, former deputy Secretary General of Hunan provincial committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), is suspected of abuse of power and accepting bribes, according to the provincial People's Procuratorate. He was arrested Wednesday.

Ma once served as mayor of Hunan's Yiyang City and secretary of the CPC Yiyang committee. Endi
