Beijing Hyundai recalls 36,484 cars over faulty braking system

Xinhua, September 30, 2015 Adjust font size:

Beijing Hyundai Motor will recall 36,484 cars over defective braking systems, China's top quality watchdog said Wednesday.

The affected vehicles are Mistra cars produced between July 12, 2013 and July 31, 2014, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) said on its official website.

Brake hoses in the affected vehicles may crack, which could lead to brake fluid leakage and brake light failures, according to the administration.

The company will replace the faulty parts for free. The recall started Wednesday.

Beijing Hyundai Motor is a joint venture between the Republic of Korea's largest car maker Hyundai Motor and China's Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co. Ltd. Endi
