Saudi-led Arab coalition has foiled an attempt to smuggle weapons to Houthi militias in Yemen by an Iranian ship, Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday.

The coalition forces intercepted an Iranian ship, 150 miles southeast of the Omani city of Salalah.

The Coalition Command reported that the ship was carrying 14 Iranians led by Captain Bakhsh Jakal and a number of shells and rockets, including 18 missiles of Concourse, anti-armors, 54 shells 17 BGM anti-tanks.

The Command pointed out that the ship was registered in the name of Iranian Hogan Mohammed Hout, and its papers claimed that the ship was suited for fishing and holding licenses from Iranian authorities.

Saudi Arabia and other members of the coalition have been blaming Iran of working against the stability of Yemen by supporting Houthi militias. Endit
