Singapore stocks close 0.11 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 2.95 points, or 0.11 percent, to close at 2,790.89.

A total of 1.13 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 34 billion Singapore dollars (944.7 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 205 to 168, while 565 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 3.98 points, or 0.14 percent, to close at 2, 787.94 on Tuesday. Endi
