Xinhua, September 30, 2015 Adjust font size:

Kiev is willing to work with India in business-to-business and government-to-government formats to promote the scale of bilateral agricultural cooperation, Ukraine's agriculture minister said on Tuesday.

"The cooperation in agricultural sector between Ukraine and India has a significant potential given the prospects and opportunities in trade," Ukrainian Agriculture Minister Olexiy Pavlenko said.

In the first eight months of 2015, agricultural trade turnover between Ukraine and India has reached 795.7 million U.S. dollars, Pavlenko said, adding that it was expected to further rise in the nearest future as the two nations were preparing a new agreement on cooperation in agriculture and food industry.

According to Ukraine's official statistics, the overall trade turnover between Ukraine and India fell 12 percent last year to 2.47 billion dollars. Endit
