Xinhua, September 28, 2015 Adjust font size:

Units of police backed by the army have killed 95 armed insurgents during series of operations across the conflict-hit Afghanistan over the past 24 hours, Interior Ministry said in a statement released here Monday.

The operations, according to the statement, have covered parts of Nangarhar, Uruzgan, Ghazni and Herat provinces during which three more insurgents were killed and four others arrested.

However, the statement didn't say if there were any casualties on security personnel.

Taliban militants who are active in the provinces have not made any comment. Endi
