Chinese-U.S. cooperation vital to global security: Argentine analyst

Xinhua, September 26, 2015 Adjust font size:

Today's global scenario requires effective cooperation between two economic heavyweights, the United States and China, a leading Argentine political analyst has said.

The international distribution of wealth and power, each with its own dynamic, inevitably calls for the cooperative relations between China and the United States, Ricardo Rouvier, head of polling and consulting firm Ricardo Rouvier & Associates, told Xinhua.

The impact of China and the United States on world trade and international relations can be of utmost importance, said Rouvier on the occasion of Chinese President Xi Jinping's first state visit to the United States.

The willingness to cooperate will bring security to the world, and establishing and developing constructive bilateral ties will lead to global harmony, he said.

Rouvier also stressed the importance of multilateral organizations.

"World peace, to a large degree, rests on the ability to resolve bilateral conflicts through dialogues and the respect for multilateral institutions," said Rouvier.

The Chinese president will be in New York from Saturday to Monday for a series of events marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. Endi
