Senior CPC official meets Namibia's ruling party delegation

Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Zhao Hongzhu met with a delegation from Namibia's ruling SWAPO party.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Namibia. Both countries have adhered to the principles of equality, mutual benefit and common development, resulting in deepened economic, trade and cultural exchanges, said Zhao, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee.

Zhao, also deputy head of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, expressed willingness to have closer exchanges at different levels between the CPC and SWAPO and enhance exchanges on national governance.

Nangolo Mbumba, secretary general of SWAPO and head of the delegation, said Namibia admires China's achievements since the reform and opening up.

Mbumba said his country cherishes traditional friendship with China, and is ready to enhance practical cooperation between the two parties and countries. Endi
