5th Asian Beach Games to be held in Vietnam

The fifth Asian Beach Games (ABG) is scheduled to be held in Vietnam in 2016 with the participation of some 3,100 athletes from 45 countries and regions.

The games will be held in Vietnam's central Da Nang city during Sept. 24 to Oct. 3, 2016, according to Vietnam's General Department of Sports and Physical Training under Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on Wednesday.

Participants at the ABG 5 are set to compete in 14 sports events, including beach volleyball, beach handball, beach sepaktakraw, bodybuilding, sailing, shuttlecock and 3-on-3 basketball, among others.

The ABG is held every two years with the first games in 2008 in Bali, Indonesia. Endi
