Shaanxi one step away from NBL title

Shaanxi grabbed an 88-81 road victory over Anhui, leading 2-0 in the best-of-five finals of the men's National Basketball League (NBL) here on Wednesday

Shaanxi' s James Mays' had a game-best 39 points and 21 reounds, Zhang Chunjun scored 14 points and Li Qingxiang added 11 for the team. Anhui' s Ma Yansong scored the team-high 19 points, Reginald Becton had a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds and Yang Wenbo had 11 points.

Shaanxi started the first quarter 11-2. Becton' s dunk put Anhui in front for the first time but the buzz-beater of the first quarter helped Shaanxi overtake the lead and never trailed after that.

Shaanxi built a huge lead of 18 points in the fourth quarter. Anhui narrowed the gap, but not enough to win the game.

Shaanxi now leads 2-0 in the best-of-five series and Anhui will host the Game 3 on Friday. Endi
