Hungarian parliament blames EU for refugee crisis

Hungary's parliament in a Tuesday vote passed a resolution calling on the leaders of the European Union to protect the continent and blaming it for the refugee crisis.
The document noted the global concern for the refugee situation in Europe, and charged the European Union with responsibility for the influx of asylum-seekers. "People are dying because of Brussels' irresponsible policy," read the resolution.
It also claimed that every European politician who encouraged immigration, causing people to abandon all they own and risk their lives, was similarly irresponsible.
"The countries of Central Europe have just managed to overcome their own economic crises and cannot become the casualty of Brussels' injudicious policy," it read, adding: "We cannot allow the illegal migration to endanger the jobs and social security of the Hungarian people."
The document stressed Hungary's right to protect its culture, language, and values, and its need to continue economic development without the "unbearable flood of illegal immigrants."
It demanded that the EU leaders listen to the voices of the people, restore common sense, and protect Europe and the citizens of Europe.
It also called on the Hungarian government to provide the funding and legal conditions that would enable the country to protect its borders with all necessary means. Endit
