Refugees begin entering Croatia through easternmost hilly areas

Refugees began to enter Croatia through Bapska, the easternmost hilly areas of the country, local police said on Tuesday.

Between 1,000 and 2,000 refugees arrived in Bapska from Serbia on Monday night and registered in the Opatovac refugee reception center, police said.

A total of 34,900 refugees had entered Croatia by Tuesday morning, according to the figure from Croatian Interior Ministry.

Of them 13,000 have left via Botovo, the northern border town near Hungary from Friday, according to local media.

The situation along Croatian northern borders with Slovenia has been stabilized, according to Slovenian police. Enditem
