Iceland's wage index records 0.3 pct increase in August

Iceland's wage index reported a month-on-month increase of 0.3 percent in August 2015, according to Statistics Iceland on Tuesday.

The figures showed that the wage index in August was 524.7, an increase of 0.3 percent compared with 523 in July. The index takes the wage in December 1988 as base number of 100.

In the past 12 months, the monthly wage index has increased by 7.7 percent.

The real wage index in August was 124.5, a decrease of 0.2 percent compared with that of the previous month.

In the past 12 months, the real wage has increased by 5.4 percent. Enditem
