Int'l gastronomic forum held in Russia

The international gastronomic forum opened Tuesday in Russia's city of Khabarovsk in the Far East, the first of such an event.

The top restaurateurs, hoteliers and tour operators across the region, as well as guests from China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) participated in the forum, according to the official website of the government of Khabarovsk Territory.

The two-day forum also provides master classes for chefs, and skill contests among the bartenders and baristas.

Arkady Ponomarev, an acting judge of the World Association of Chefs' Societie, served as the chief arbiter on the chefs' championship called "National dinner."

A tournament on bartenders' art, featuring mixology, and a workshop on modern kitchen for the cooks will be held on Wednesday. Endi
