French stock market index up 0.20 pct on Thursday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained an advance of 0.20 percent to close at 4,655.14 points on Thursday, up 9.30 points.

Waiting for the possible move of the U.S. Federal Reserve's decision to raise its benchmark interest rate, the CAC 40 of Paris closed slightly higher on Thursday with 23 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance.

The top three gainers on Thursday were Kering, up 2.21 percent, Peugeot, up 2.03 percent, and Accor, up 2.00 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Thursday were Scheider Electric, down 2.28 percent, Bouygues, down 1.64 percent, and ArcelorMittal, down 1.57 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 gained an advance of 1.67 percent to close at 4,645.84 points, up 76.47 points. Endit
