Road accident kills 3, injures 9 in Azerbaijan

At least three people died and another nine were injured Thursday in a minibus accident on a road connecting the country's capital Baku with the third largest city of Sumgayit.

The accident happened when a Ford Transit minibus crashed into a roadside barrier around 11:00 a.m. (0600 GMT) on Thursday, the Baku State Traffic Police Office told media.

According to the police, two people died on the spot following the collision and one person died in the hospital. Another nine people were still in the hospital, with some of them needing amputations. Endi
