S. Korea, U.S. to hold high-level defense talks next week: Seoul

High-level military officials between South Korea and the United States will hold their defense talks next week in Seoul, South Korea's defense ministry said on Thursday.

The eighth round of (South)Korea-U.S. Integrated Defense Dialogue (KIDD), which was launched in 2011, will be held in Seoul for two days from Sept. 23.

Yoo Jeh-seung, South Korea's deputy defense minister for policy, will lead the country's delegation of defense and diplomatic officials.

The U.S. side will be headed by Abraham Denmark, deputy assistant secretary of defense for East Asia, and Elaine Bunn, deputy assistant secretary of defense for nuclear and missile defense policy. Endi
