BiH ready for possible influx of refugees: gov't

Xinhua, September 11, 2015 Adjust font size:

Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) would be ready to register and process refugees in case of a possible influx, Denis Zvizdic, Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers, said Friday.

BiH wanted to avoid security risks in case of a refugee influx, he said, adding border police, security agencies and service for foreigners were prepared to deal with the scenario of a refugee influx.

Zvizdic noted BiH for now was not the route of movement of refugees, but that could change as countries such as Hungary build walls to block refugees.

"We would be ready for the registration and profiling of every person who enters the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina in term of the security aspect," he said.

The refugees may choose the northern eastern part of BiH as their route to richer countries, local media reported. Endit
