Seven DR Congo soldiers killed in rebel attack

Seven officers of the Democratic Republic of Congo Armed Forces (FARDC) were killed on Thursday in an attack carried out in the eastern region of Beni by Ugandan rebels, Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).

A security source told Xinhua the ADF rebels launched a surprise attack against FARDC, leaving four other soldiers injured.

Three civilians and six rebels were equally killed in the confrontation, the same source said. Endit
