Philippine shares closed 0.26 percent higher on Friday.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index increased by 17. 84 points to 6911.38. The all-share index went up by 9.30 points, or 0.24 percent, to 3963.65.

Trading volume reached 3.56 billion shares worth 4.51 billion pesos (96.11 million U.S. dollars).

There were 86 gainers, 72 losers while 42 stocks closed flat. Endi
