Audi reports best August sales

Xinhua, September 11, 2015 Adjust font size:

German automaker Audi AG sold 128,650 cars in August, a year-on-year increase of 2.7 percent, marking its best August sales figures ever, the firm announced on Thursday.

A total of around 1,177,100 Audi cars have been so far delivered to customers since the start of the year, representing an increase of 3.4 percent compared to the same period of last year, according to the Ingolstadt-based company.

"Even in face of highly volatile key markets, Audi further increased its global sales in August. At the same time we are preparing to step up the pace with our broad model and technology drive," said Luca de Meo, member of the board of management for sales and marketing.

Audi stated in an official announcement that in China alone it will introduce by the middle of next year more than ten new models, which will account for about two thirds of Audi's current sales volume in the Chinese market. Endit
