Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met with Mongolian Prime Minister Chimed Saikhanbileg on the sidelines of the Summer Davos forum in northeast China's Dalian on Thursday.

Li said China was ready to consolidate political mutual trust, strengthen communication, and cooperate more with Mongolia, which it sees as a friendly neighbor and important partner.

He called on the two sides to cooperate more in areas including power and processing of agricultural and animal products.

China hopes to see that its neighbors maintain financial stability and is willing to expand financial cooperation with the Mongolian side, according to the premier.

Saikhanbileg said Mongolia expects to strengthen political and economic and trade relations with China and speed up cooperation with China on big projects in mining, electricity and railway transportation. Endi
