Afghan army kills 94 militants in two days: official

The Afghan Defense Ministry said on Thursday that the country's national army has waged operations throughout the country over the past two days, killing 94 militants.

About 76 militants have been injured while four others were detained by army's personnel during the raids conducted in 14 out of the country's 34 provinces, the ministry said in a statement providing daily operational updates.

The statement also confirmed losing 12 army soldiers in separate attacks within the same period.

The army specialists had also found and defused 30 roadside bombs and landmines since early Tuesday, according to the statement.
