Senior Chinese leader Liu Yunshan has stressed the Party schools' allegiance to the Communist Party of China (CPC), saying it is required of both school faculty and students.

Liu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks when attending an opening ceremony held by the Party School of the CPC Central Committee on Monday. He is also the school's president.

Liu said Party schools must follow a correct political orientation, be committed to "seeking truth from facts" and govern themselves strictly.

He also called on the students, mainly CPC officials, to be faithful to the party and the people and to strictly implement CPC rules on Party governance. Endi
