FIP Arena Polo European Championship kicks off in Baku

The first FIP Arena Polo European Championship kicked off in Baku at Elite Horse and Polo Club on Friday, local media reports.

The championship running from Sept. 4 to 12 involves 72 participants representing teams from Azerbaijan, Ireland, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Spain. The tournament has been organized by the World Polo in association with Azerbaijan's Equestrian Federation, ARAF Elite Horse & Polo Club and Polo Club Bina.

During the tournament participants will compete at indoor sand and outdoor grass venues. The championship will feature 18 highly competitive matches. Each participating team consist of three players and two substitutes.
