1 killed in U.S. Marines helicopter hard landing: media

One U.S. Marine was killed and several others were injured when a U.S. Marines helicopter had a hard landing Wednesday night at North Carolina, local media reported.

The accident occurred at about 9 p.m. local time at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, said the U.S. daily USA Today.

About nine of the 16 Marines on the CH-53E helicopter were injured and one was reportedly in serious condition.

No further details were immediately available and an investigation into the crash was underway. Endi
