Xinhua, September 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

A school bus collided with a truck on Thursday in southern German state of Bavaria, with 19 children between 9 and 16 years old and two drivers injured in the accident.

According to local police, the school bus was on its way to a private school, which is 20 km far away, when the 72-year-old bus driver overlooked a truck at a crossing.

16 children and the school bus driver got slightly injured, while another 3 children and the 32-year-old truck driver were badly injured, who had been sent to hospital, a police spokeswoman said.

"The truck was on the priority road, the bus driver should have actually waited," according to the spokeswoman.

A total loss is estimated to be about 50,000 euros (56,000 dollars). (1 euro = 1.12 U.S. dollars) Endit
