Rain to sweep China in next three days

Xinhua, September 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

Rain will sweep several parts of China in the coming three days, with areas in the south and the east to see heavy rainstorms, according to the China Meteorological Administration (CMA).

Starting Thursday, there will be moderate and heavy rain in parts of northwest China, north China, southwest China's Sichuan Basin, and regions along the Yellow, Yangtze and Huaihe rivers, the CMA said in its latest forecasts.

Rainstorms will hit areas in the Sichuan Basin and Yunnan Province in the southwest and parts of Shandong and Jiangsu provinces in the east.

The CMA warned of geological disasters in those areas and reminded local authorities to prevent flooding in cities. Endi
