RECCA conference opens in Kabul

The sixth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA) opened in Kabul on Thursday.

Delegates from more than 30 countries from the region and beyond and some 40 regional and international agencies including World Bank and the Asian Development Bank attended the conference.

In the two-day meeting, issues relating to economic cooperation in the region, trade, business and the role of private sector in boosting economic activities in the region would be discussed.

In his opening remarks, Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Hekmat Khalil Karzai, besides welcoming the delegates, said"RECCA is an important regional economic cooperation which is lead, focused and owned by Afghanistan." Endi
