The U.S. dollar climbed against other major currencies Wednesday as the global equity markets stabilized, lowering demand for safe-haven currency like Japanese yen.

U.S. and European stocks traded higher Wednesday following previous day's sharp declines. The Japanese yen dropped against the greenback for the first time in three sessions as investors' worries eased.(U.S.-Exchange)

COPENHAGEN -- The Danish media gave an in-depth coverage on Wednesday of its astronaut, Andreas Mogensen, who has become the first Dane entering space, calling the event a "major milestone for Denmark."

ADEN, YEMEN -- Up to 30 people were killed and nearly 100 others injured when two suicide bombings targeted a Houthi-controlled mosque in Yemen's capital Sanaa on Wednesday evening, witnesses and a security source told Xinhua.

A security official of the country's interior ministry which is controlled by Houthis said that a Shiite mosque in Al-Jiraf district of Sanaa was hit by a suicide attack during prayers. Shortly after, a bomb-laden vehicle exploded when members of the public were helping victims.(Yemen-Bombings)

ISLAMABAD -- Fighter jets Wednesday pounded hideouts of the militants in two tribal regions and killed 31, the Pakistani military said on Wednesday.
