Germany's benchmark DAX index little changed

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Wednesday advanced slightly by 32.48 points and closed above 10,000 points.

The blue-chip index opened higher and fluctuated in the intra-day trading. It temporarily dropped below the 10,000-point mark and recovered some losses later. It closed at 10,048.05 points.

Deutsche Boerse AG topped the list of risers with an increase of 1.93 percent. Deutsche Telekom AG gained 1.89 percent. Bayer AG advanced by 1.11 percent. Deutsche Post AG climbed by 0.94 percent. Allianz SE went up by 0.9 percent.

The two utilities companies RWE AG St and E.ON SE each dropped by 1.6 percent and 1.22 percent respectively. Volkswagen AG Vz lost 0.82 percent. Continental AG plunged by 0.75 percent and BMW AG St slipped by 0.69 percent.

The turnover stood at 3.01 billion euros (around 3.39 billion U.S. dollars). Volkswagen AG Vz was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 230.75 million euros (around 259.94 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
