Chinese shares open lower Wednesday

Chinese stocks opened lower Wednesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 4.39 percent at 3,027.68 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 4.61 percent lower at 9,694.48 points. The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, opened 5.39 percent lower at 1,787.71 points. Endi
