Tokyo shares end sharply lower by break

Tokyo shares ended the morning session sharply lower on Tuesday following weak performances in other stocks markets.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average tumbled 450.20 points, or 2. 38 percent, from Monday to 18,440.28.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 37.73 points, or 2.45 percent, at 1, 499.32. Endi
