Argentina, led by Sergio Hernandez, expects to play its fourth consecutive Olympic Games. In 2004 they surprised everybody by winning gold medal, four years after they won bronze and in London 2012 they ended fourth.

Some of the players from that time and that will play Americas Championship are Andres Nocioni and Luis Scola.

The younger players include Facundo Campazzo and Nicolas Laprovittola, who have international experience.
