China trounces winless Kenya 3-0 at women's volleyball World Cup

Asian champions China trounced African champions Kenya 3-0 in a second round match of the 2015 FIVB Women's World Cup at the Momotaro Arena Monday evening.
The Chinese women recorded their fourth straight win 25-7, 25-15 and 25-14 following a 0-3 defeat to the United States last Monday and improved to a 6-1 overall win-loss record at the 12-team round robin tournament.
"I ask my players to concentrate on the game every match and try to improve the ability to read the game, hopefully the young players can get more experience through the matches and play better and better," said China coach Jenny Lang Ping.
Liu Xiaotong received the Most Impressive Player award after having 11 kills, one block and an ace for China. Yang Junjing also scored 13 points and Zhang Changning added 12. The Chinese women produced nine aces, compared with four for Kenya.
"We did a good job in serving today and I hope we can continue that in the following matches," said China captain Zeng Chunlei, who finished with 10 points for China.
Serbia snapped Russia's six-match winning streak with a come-from-behind full set victory in Sendai to make the title contention of this World Cup wide open. World champions the United States, China, Russia, Serbia and Japan shared a 6-1 record at the end of Day Seven's action.
Twelve teams are playing a round robin format in this World Cup with top two finishers to qualify for the Rio Olympic Games in 2016. Endi
