Downpours expected in southern China

Strong rain will lash most of southern China in the next three days.

It will sweep Guangxi, Guangdong, Hainan, Fujian, Taiwan, Tibet, Yunnan and Sichuan, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said on Sunday.

The rain will also affect northern parts of China, including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi and Henan.

The NMC issued a rainstorms blue alert, the lowest level in a four-tier warning system for severe weather. Endi
