Brazilian striker set to join Club Brugge

Xinhua, August 30, 2015 Adjust font size:

Palmeiras striker Leandro Pereira has joined Belgian outfit Club Brugge in a deal worth 3.6 million euros, according to media reports on Sunday.

The 24-year-old is expected to travel to Bruges to undergo a medical and sign a contract before Tuesday's European transfer window deadline.

Brazil's Uol news portal said the Brazilian had also been sought by Spain's Real Betis and Germany's Hertha BSC.

The deal represents a handsome profit for Palmeiras, who paid just 1.3mn euros to sign Pereira from Brazilian rivals Chapecoense in January.

The forward has scored 10 goals in 30 appearances for the Sao Paulo club this year. Endi
