China's judoka Yu wins women's +78kg at Judo World Championships

Chinese judoka Yu Song won the women's over 78kg category at the 2015 Judo World Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan late Saturday.
Yu outclassed Japanese Tachimoto Megumi in the final. This offers the 19th gold medal to China at the world championships since the event inaugurated and their first podium in Astana.
For several years, China is present on the international scene in the women's over 78kg category. Once again, the Chinese athletes demonstrated that in Astana, with the semifinal between Yu and her compatriot Ma Sisi.
Both of them qualified for the first semifinal of the category without being really challenged. Yu, winner of World Masters in Rabat in 2015, confirmed her role as one of the favorites for the Olympic title next year in Rio. It was a tight fight and only a small yuko differentiated the two athletes to the benefit of Yu.
