IOC president visits 2022 Winter Olympics venues

International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach arrived in Chongli County of Zhangjiakou on Friday to inspect 2022 Winter Olympics venues.

Bach, who is attending the world athletics championships in Beijing, will have an inspection tour on Saturday of the county that will host the biathlon, Nordic combined, ski jumping, snowboard and freestyle skiing events in the 2022 Winter Olympics.

The Olympic head said he was looking forward to a spectacular and successful Games in 2022.

Beijing, along with neighboring Zhangjiakou, won the 2022 bid over Almaty, Kazakhstan. Endit
