Xinhua, August 28, 2015 Adjust font size:

Applications for the masters degree program in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Culture at the University of Malta opened on Friday.

Being offered in collaboration with the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, this course aims at attracting doctors and health care professionals from Malta.

It starts in October 2015 at a brand new TCM clinic on campus.

The masters program will enable qualified medical practitioners and health-care professionals in the fields of nursing, midwifery and physiotherapy to understand the essential theory of Chinese medicine.

It also aims to help students be familiar with the knowledge and techniques of acupuncture, and to safely manage common appropriate conditions through the use of acupuncture.

During the one-year course, teaching in the specialty is imparted from multidisciplinary, individual and population-based perspectives. Endit
