The Pentagon said Tuesday it was concerned about the arms deal between Iran and Russia for missile systems.

PARIS -- Gunshots killed three people and severely injured four others, including two gendarmes, in northern France, French TV channel BFMTV reported Tuesday.
The gunshots took place in Roye, Haute-Somme department, in northern France, around 4:30 p.m. local time (1430 GMT), next to a supermarket where nomads camped, said the daily Le Courrier Picard. (France-Gunshots)

WASHINGTON -- Authorities in the eastern U.S. state of West Virginia said Tuesday that a 14-year-old male student with a pistol had held several students and a teacher hostage earlier at a high school in the state.
All hostages were set free and the suspect was in police custody. No injury was reported, said a statement by West Virginia State Police Department. (US-School-Hostage)

MOGADISHU -- At least 12 Al-Shabaab militants on Tuesday were killed by government forces in heavy clashes in a village near Garbaherey town in Gedo region, southern Somalia, officials and witnesses said.
