Kenyans swept the top four in the men's 3,000m steeplechase final at the world athletics championships here on Monday.

Ezekiel Kemboi continued his amazing medal streak by winning a fourth consecutive world steeplechase gold in 8:11.28 while Conseslus Kipruto claimed silver in 8:12.38.

Brimin Kiprop Kipruto got bronze in 8.12.54, beating fourth-placed Jairus Kipchoge Birech, the season's world number one, by 0.08 seconds.

"I'm so happy about my fourth consecutive world title. It was a strong race. We maintained the pace but I never went in front, only on the last 400m. In the last lap, nobody could follow me. I will be celebrating tonight with my teammates," said the 33-year-old Kemboi, also a two-time Olympic champion.

"My next big goal of course is the Rio Olympics," he added. Endi
