Attack on NATO convoy in Kabul kills 3

Militants'attack against the convoy of the NATO-led Resolute Support (RS) mission in Kabul on Saturday claimed three lives, all civilians, a statement of the alliance released here said. "We can confirm an attack on a convoy of Resolute Support contracted civilians in Kabul at approximately 4:20 p.m. Aug. 22. One Resolute Support contracted civilian was killed in the attack and two others died of wounds as a result of the attack," the statement said.

Without providing more details, the statement said "We are gathering further information."

However, the attack which happened in the shape of suicide car bomb in Macrorayon locality in downtown Kabul, according to Kabul police chief Abdul Rahman Rahimi, has claimed five lives and injured 38 others, almost all civilians. Endi
