2nd LD Writethru: 5 killed, 38 injured as suicide attack hits Kabul

Up to five people were killed and 38 others injured, almost all of them civilians, as a suicide attacker blew up his explosive-laden car in Afghan capital on Saturday, provincial police chief Abdul Rahman Rahimi said. "It was a suicide car bomb which claimed five lives and injured 38 others,"Rahimi told reporters at the site of the blast.

Four foreigners are also among those killed and injured in the blast, the official asserted but didn't give more details.

The blast which took place at around 4:15 p.m. local time has also destroyed several cars and windowpanes of houses and apartments nearby. Endi
