Philippine death toll from typhoon Goni, locally named as Ineng, rose to 10, while seven others were injured, the state disaster management agency said Saturday.

The fatalities came from northern provinces of Mountain Province, Benguet and Ilocos Norte, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said, adding that three people remained missing.

The displaced families also ballooned to almost 3,000 or over 12,800 individuals from four regions in northern part of the country.

At least six domestic flights were cancelled, while 323 passengers were stranded in different ports.

With sustained maximum winds of 150 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 185 kph, the typhoon is expected to leave the country by Tuesday afternoon after it weakened slightly. Endi
