France denounces car bombing in Egypt

France on Thursday condemned the car bombing that targeted a national security building near the Egyptian capital Cairo, according to a statement issued by French foreign ministry.

Paris also expressed solidarity with Egyptian government and the families victims, it said. "France stands alongside Egypt in the fight against terrorism."

Earlier on Thursday, a massive car bomb explosion hit a state security building in Shubra el Khaima in the Qalioubiya province near Cairo. A total of 29 people were wounded, including six policemen.

Sinai Province, an Islamic State's affiliate group, claimed responsibility of the attack, according to medias reports. Endit
