U.S. navy's hospital ship Mercy tours Vietnam

The U.S. naval hospital ship Mercy arrived at the Tien Sa port in Vietnam's central Da Nang city on Monday as part of its Pacific Partnership mission.

Mercy will stay in Vietnam until Aug. 28 in a bid to provide medical service and share experience in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, according to the website of Da Nang authority.

During their stay in Da Nang, crew of the 272-meter-long ship is scheduled to participate in joint activities with the Vietnamese side in burn treatment, cardiology, pediatric, and radiotherapy, among others. Endi
