Danish PM expresses condolences over Tianjin blasts

Danish Prime Minister Lars Loekke Rasmussen on Friday night expressed his condolences for victims of the deadly explosions that occurred in northern China's port city of Tianjin on Wednesday.

"I felt deep sorrow after learning that the explosions on the night of August 12 in Tianjin have caused huge casualties," Rasmussen said in a statement.

He expressed his sympathy to the victims of the explosions as well as to their families and the Chinese people on behalf of the Danish people and government.

"At the moment, I'd like to shoulder the grievance together with you," the prime minister said in the statement.

On the same day, Danish Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen also released a statement, expressing his condolences to those affected by the explosions.

Jensen said he was very much concerned about the rescue work, and wished soonest recovery to those injured.

Two blasts at a warehouse in Tianjin on Wednesday night have left 56 dead and 721 hospitalized. Endit
